Sergio Melgarejo was sponsored by The Resurrection Project.  Sergio is a Peace Builder because he felt it was time to take the initiative to make positive changes in his Pilsen neighborhood.

Peace Builder Stefany Rendon is a student at Vassar College.  She was sponsored by Josephinum Academy.  As a Peace Builder, Stefany believes in the power of community and that together, "we can change the world."

Arielle Russell graduated from North Lawndale College Prep in June 2015. She was sponsored by North Lawndale College Prep.  As a Peace Builder, Arielle wants to make peaceful changes both locally and internationally.

Lizbeth Sanchez was sponsored by Telpochcalli Community Education Project. As a Peace Builder, Lizbeth wants to be part of a movement that creates positive change in our communities because "if we don't, who will?"

Lizbeth graduated from DePaul University and is a paralegal at the National Immigrant Justice Center.

Corey Aaron Thomas was sponsored by Holy Family Ministries.  As a Peace Builder, Corey believes peace is the only path to a better future, "and it starts right now with our youth."

Corey is a student at Western Michigan University.

Edward White was co-sponsored by Family Focus Lawndale and the Foundation for Homan Square.  As a Peace Builder, Edward is tired of "seeing violence as the number one topic in society, rather than achievement."
